Will a jeweler put a small onyx heart into the heart of a claddagh ring?
Sorry, I’m sort of new to the world of jewelry. If I brought in my claddagh ring to a jeweler along with an onyx stone, would they be able to cut/set the stone into the heart? If so, around how much would this cost?

NO the stone would need a propper setting it can not be just cut in.
Cost well it would not be cheap if you want the stone to stay there!
