Lapis Lazuli and Sodalite

I have always used Lapis Lazuli and Sodalite for my communication issues. Never wondered why sometimes I seemed to come off a bit strong. Thanks for the heads up, will give the Blue Lace Agate a try.

• I love lapis, it really is a beautiful stone aside from its inherent healing properties. Turquoise and Larimar are my other favorites.

• I know what you mean about Lapis Lazuli, it is a truly beautiful healing crystal. I thought that you might be interested in this. I recently got a request from someone undergoing Chemo for Breast Cancer and I was about to give them the usual , but as I went for the crystals my hand selected a piece of Lapis, I tried to put it back but it just would not go, so I always follow signs like these.

I gave the piece of Lapis to the lady and told her what had happened, she said that she was happy to take the Lapis and as soon as she held it , she told me it felt just right. She has been taking it with her to all her treatments so far and things are looking good.

I would be interested to know if others have had similar experiences with crystals being used for something they are not know for.

I don’t know why, but for many years I stayed away from lapis feeling that the time was not right for me to use it, but yet always knew that as I evolved it would become the perfect stone for me. I wonder if we are living in a time of burgeoning wisdom where lapis is more needed?

I teach classes on rocks, crystals and energy at festivals and locally in Iowa. I’ve been working with rocks and crystals for a couple of decades, and gathering them since I was a kid.

In my classes I talk about the “usual” uses for stones and crystals based on their color and the human chakra system. But I ALSO tell my students that…
The Magick is in your heart, you mind and your soul…

and that if your instincts/psychic perception/inner wisdom tells you something else or in addition about using a crystal, by all means GO with that.

I use Lapis and sodalite (which is cheaper and more accessible) as a psychic shielding stone and for throat chakra work. But when a rock “jumps” into my hand… either at a rock store or for a working…I pay attention to that.

• Your experience with Lapis is a wonderful demonstration of listening to your intution. I think we can sometimes get too hung up on what a stone means and what it should treat instead of going with the flow.

Sometime back I was treating a knee that had been injured in a ski accident and a piece of Fuchsite wanted to go on it, so mine is not to reason why, I just used it. After a few treatments I discoverd that the client had been suffering an unrequited love when he had the accident so maybe a heart issue after all!

I thought you might like an update on the lady I gave the Lapis Lazuli angel to. She rang me the other day to tell me how things were going. She told me that when she had her first to chemo sessions, the doctors had a little trouble finding a vein, which she said was normal for her. They told her that day 2 and 3 after the treatment would see her with no energy and unable to barley get out of bed, but she said that no such thing happened she did feel a little down but was able to do everything she wanted, the doctors were also very pleased with the results of her blood tests both times.

However she said the third treatment did just as the doctors had said, she was unable to get out of bed and finding a vein had been nearly impossible and the blood test was not nearly as good as the previous two. As you can understand she was not looking forward to her 4th treatment as she was getting ready to leave she was looking for something in her bag and found the Lapis Lazuli angel, she realised that she had not taken it with her on her 3rd treatment session. So it immediately went into her pocket as she set off for the 4th treatment. Well she was amazed they found the vein the very first go and she did not have any of the bad days like after the third treatment and her blood tests were good.

She told me she will never be without the Lapis Lazuli angel as she believes it is responsible for how well she reacted to the treatment, she is going to have Radiotherapy treatments as well and told me that the angel will be with her all the way.

She will let me know how things go with those treatments as well. I am so pleased that the angel worked for her although I knew it would as it had called to me to give it to her. It is times like these that make what we do really worthwhile.
